WHO WE ARE

About the Doomsday Clock

Tracking the quantum threat so the world can prepare

04

Our Mission

We track the quantum threat so the world can prepare before it's too late.

The Quantum Doomsday Clock exists to raise awareness about one of the most significant technological threats facing modern society: the eventual ability of quantum computers to break the cryptography that secures our digital world.

03

Why This Matters

We believe that by tracking and publicizing the progress of quantum computing, we can help motivate the transition to post-quantum cryptography before it's too late. The threat is real, the timeline is approaching, and preparation needs to start now.

Our goal isn't to spread fear—it's to provide accurate, up-to-date information that helps individuals, organizations, and policymakers make informed decisions about cryptographic security.

Quip Network

The Quantum Doomsday Clock is a project of Quip Network, the world's shared quantum computer. Quip Network is building infrastructure to make quantum computing accessible to everyone while preparing for the post-quantum era.

As part of Hadamard Gate Inc (dba Postquant Labs), we're working on both sides of the quantum challenge: harnessing quantum computing's potential while protecting against its cryptographic risks.
